May 12, 2004 - 4:14 pm: le bridge. I received a bunch of birthday emails from people, some of whom I hadn't spoken to in a while, and some from my birthfamily, but I haven't read them all yet. One thing at a time, I can only deal with so much at once. Right now that includes a lot of email and work to catch up on. Vancouver is an awesome city, supercool and freaking gorgeous. I took a ton of digital pics and some black and white, but I haven't gone through them all yet. There's a lot of goood pics on there. I got another bridge picture out of it, too:   R and I are going to Wrigley Field on Saturday for a two hour thank-yew-neighbor-thing. We get to run around the field and the bases and scurry around the dugouts and there's food and drink and the like. I hope the weather is nice, because that will be cool as hell. I got some great presents for my bday (great books, new David Cross CD, amazon gift certificate, drinks!), went to a really fun party for H's bday, went on an awesome little road trip into Canada, and overall had a blast. Also, and unrelatedly, I'm reading 'The Quite American' by Graham Greene, and I think it's quite good. |
