It's amazing how much someone can fuck with you just by not doing much. Ask a question, get no response. Ask for someone to do something, they don't respect that and do something else. Ask what role you'll be playing in someone's life, and not only do you not get an answer but the role shifts from week to week.

I've been back in Chicago for a week, and spoken to my ex's daughter once since then, and not seen her since before Christmas. Last night she called and asked if I would go to a father-daughter function at her kindergarten in a few weeks, and I of course said yes. And I am going to go visit after work today, we haven't seen each other since before Christmas.

So I have an ex- treating me like an ex-, but her daughter wondering where Dad is. It. Is. Fucked.

On a better note, I bought myself a digital camera and it's great, and I had a very positive meeting with my real estate agent about selling my house so I can move the hell back to New York.

I am going to spend the weekend reading, watching football and taking photos of the weird little donut shops out in the rural areas. We got a lot of donut shops out this way. Go figure.
