May 25, 2004 - 10:02 am: universal love.
On the train home last night I listened to a girl talk to her friend about dating. She was talking about her dating woes in a general way, i.e. dating the person that doesn't want to be serious and instead "just date", dating a person who is a bit too young and it not working out, etc. She was talking about dating other women, but she had some input from the hetero friends as well that made some sense. Whether you're gay or straight, the issues are the same. I knew that already, but it was funny to hear. Apparently you're supposed to ask a deal-breaker question on the third date. I was unaware of that. Also, the third month is one of the most difficult. See what you can learn while on the train, drunk? The book I'm reading right now is really good. H found it in a bookstore in Vancouver. She hooks me up with the good books. I'm cashing in my Amazon gift certificate, and I'm excited because I found some books I actually *want*. Word.
