It's strange to speak with people you haven't spoken to in a really really long time. Just emailed with a few old college friends I haven't heard from in at least 13 years. Everyone is pretty pleasant when it's been that long. I think the general feeling is 'holy crap, how have you been? Where did life take YOU?' It's been interesting and depressing all at the same time. It got me excited because I started to tell the story about finding the birthparents, because these people knew me before all of that and went to same college as I so they probably appreciate the 'they were here the whole time!' aspect of the story. OR maybe they don't give a shit. Either way, they got a long email today. I think the fact that it's the middle of February and we've had a week of single digit temperatures adds the fact that today I felt completely batshit insane. Bring on the spring. If that groundhog was lying I swear to god I am going to make that little rodent pay.
